Nuts About Granola

Ironically enough, Nuts About Granola was found by the gift bag organizers after they did an Internet search and discovered we were featured as the Snack of the Day on the Rachael Show almost a year to the date we went to the Emmy Awards. Sarah sent the “Snack of the Day” segment producer Nuts About Granola samples, along with information on the company. She received a call the day the package arrived (thank you package tracking) and was told Nuts About Granola was selected for the show. I was really excited when I had gotten this Nuts About Granola/Peanut Butter. I absolutely am a huge fan of anything that is peanut butter related. Although I only got a 2oz. bag of granola I wish they would of gave me a much bigger bag to review. I love how the granola taste although it doesn't have much of a peanut butter taste to it, but it's really good otherwise. I wanted to spare some, so I took a little bit of the granola & put it in some yogurt.. Delicious!! I even added some cinnamon for a little bit more flavor. 

5 easy ways to savor their granola. .  . .

Spice up your cereal

Combine 1/4 cup granola with 1 cup bran flakes and 4oz. of fat-free milk for a hearty breakfast.

(255 cal,. 2g fat, 9.5 g protein)

Yogurt topper

Sprinkle a 1/4 cup granola into a 6oz. container of fat-free yogurt.

(180 cals, 1.5 g fat, 7g protein)

Sweeten your oatmeal

Cook 1/2 cup oats with 3/4 cup vanilla soy milk for a sweet creamy texture.

Top oatmeal with 1/4 cup granola for added crunch and flavor.

(330 cals, 7.5g fat, 13g protein)

Frozen Banana Treat

Peel a small ripe, but not to ripe, banana. Insert a popsicle stick into one end. Place on cookie sheer and freeze for at least 2 hours. Melt 2 miniature chocolate bars in a microwave until smooth. Spread a thin layer of chocolate on banana. Coat in 2 tbs. Plain Jane Granola. Re-freeze for another 2 hrs.
