January Cruise on the Norwegian Getaway 2023 ( My THOUGHTS)

 

12-Day Caribbean Round-Trip New York: 

Barbados & Dominican Republic

Where to begin. . . We cruised the Norwegian Getaway on January  8th through January 20th, 2023. This was the worst cruise I have ever been on I do not like the Norwegian Getaway. Not only that we didn't go to one of the islands the Dominican Republic which we were so bummed about and disappointed and they didn't offer anything in return nor did they let us know in advanced. They tried to be slick and say they e-mailed everyone, but not we didn't get anything! We heard many different stories as to why we couldn't go and I do not believe any one of them.

Here is a recap of our state room we upgraded to a balcony for $1,000 and split it between 4 people so $250 each not so bad. It was beautiful a great choice we all went with. Couldn't be happier, but was very tidy especially with 4 people in a room together. You can view my TikTok post and leave your thoughts on what you think.

I did get to visit a few islands I had never been to before which was really beautiful my favorite would have to be St Kitts and St. Lucia. The two most beautiful islands. We did 2 excursions for both islands.

 

Some pictures of St. Lucia and St. Kitts. We did a catamaran and swimming that was an amazing time. We got burnt. I decided to put on sun tan lotion on after I guess I had already got burnt (my mistake) ha ha. It's okay though.  St. Kitts we did a Tour to see monkeys I forget the exact name, but it was fun and got to hold a little monkey of course.

He was so adorable and just eating fruit.

Amazing views and scenery for sure. Memories that will forever be with me. I loved every moment besides the cruise itself. Our total per-person was $997.00 which was really good. We payed our own tips so make sure you do that on every cruise and fill our a paper at the service desk.

The food on the cruise was really good. We got to dine at 3 payed restaurants of choice for free with our package. We also got unlimited alcohol package and $50 off excursions for one person. Met a few nice people too on our cruise as well. 

They didn't really have any good shows to watch and they didn't have great entertainment one of the reasons this Cruise ship lacked a lot. We will not be going on Norwegian Getaway ever again.
