Dave's Gourmet Review

Disclosure: I received these product/products mentioned on my blog free of charge for the purpose of this review my opinions are my own and may differ from yours!

I was sent some products from Dave's Gourmets to review on my blog. I was really excited what to get because I was browsing their website hoping I would get the Butternut Squash pasta sauce because my husband is a big fan! Come to find out I did get the Butternut Squash, YAY! That night I did end up making ravioli's and just put the Butternut Squash on top which was a good amount of sauce. I even had extra for my husband to dip his garlic bread.

Looks so good doesn't it? I was in love! The taste was very good it tasted sweet and delicious. I actually thought I wasn't going to like it because me; well I am a picky eater and when it comes to different pasta sauces I am picky, lol unfortunately. I actually LOVED it. It was so good. I wanted to have more, but I didn't want to over stuff myself so I saved some for lunch the next day.

 .............................................

The next pasta sauce I was introduced to was the Red Heirloom pasta sauce which was really great too it tasted really good and sweet too. Although I wasn't to pleased about the tomatoes again I am a picky eater so I do not like tomatoes, but I will eat them in my mom's recipe for salsa. "I know I am weird", but unfortunately I did like some of the tomatoes in there they were actually really good and added that extra taste bud to it.

For an extra taste and spice. I did end up shredding a half block of pepper jack cheese and putting it on top of the pasta which was really good mixed with the pasta sauce as well.

  1. I like the looks of this. I do get so tired of plain old tomato or marinara sauce (the kind you see all the time!) on my pasta. And I REALLY like the idea of shredding pepper Jack on it (or I might shred some Romano) Gonna check this out, we are pasta fiends here!! : ) scain54 (at) aol (dot) com

  2. The butternut squash sauce looks really good. I'm not a big fan of tomato sauce, but I eat it sometimes because the kids love it. It would be cool to sub in the butternut squash sauce and see if they noticed.
