If You Care

If You Care was conceived of as a brand of environmentally friendly kitchen and household products.
The first If You Care products were unbleached coffee filters, and they were launched in 1990. These were the first unbleached coffee filters in the U.S.
Parchment Baking Paper and Baking Cups soon followed. All of the paper products were unbleached and totally chlorine-free.
In 2004, the very first Aluminum Foil made from 100% recycled aluminum was launched. This product featured a 95% energy savings compared to conventional aluminum foil. Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil for grilling and barbecuing, also from 100% recycled aluminum, was introduced in 2007. That same year, waxed paper, from unbleached paper coated with soybean wax was launched. In 2009, two new products are being launched in the fourth quarter – 100% carbon neutral fire starters, made from FSC certified wood and vegetable oil, and sandwich and snack bags made from unbleached greaseproof paper. Many new products in a wide variety of categories are being planned and developed in the coming years. (from website)

I was really happy to try some of If You Care products for a review. I am always buying foil & sandwich bags and in regular stores there are no green choices, but with If You Care you can purchase them. They were so kind to give me the following for a review:

A "If you care" t-shirt

If You Care makes all of their products from unbleached paper, recycled ingredients, and wood. They choose only the best materials to go into their products to have as small an impact on the environment as possible.  I was lucky enough go receive one of each of their amazing products to review, and while I haven't had to try out each and every one of them yet, I thought I would highlight a few of my favorites that  I know I will use everyday.

The main item I use almost everyday is foil. The If You Care Foil is made from 100% recycled aluminum, and it can be recycled again and again. There are no toxins or glues on the box and its suitable for vegetarians and vegans.  It worked great for cooking as well as storing leftovers. It is very sturdy and will hold up to your toughest situations.

One of my other favorite products is the sandwich bags. I pack my son a snack wherever I may go, so I try to use reusable containers as much as possible, but he tends to lose them. The sandwich bags from If You Care are paper, not plastic. They are made from recycled paper and are biodegradable so we can throw them away without feeling guilty.

I would love to try the Recycled Trash Bags someday from If You Care. I go through trash bags like there is no tomorrow.... also I would love to try the Sponge Cloths. I am always cleaning the table and counters on a daily basis.

They also have coffee filters, twine, gloves, cheese cloth and more.  Whatever you need for your kitchen projects, you are sure to find it at If You Care.  They are a little expensive than average, but if you care about the Earth, they are worth a little bit of extra expense. You can find these terrific products at Whole Foods Market, or check their store locator for another store near you.  They provide the quality you need as well as a better alternative for our planet.  So check them out today!!!!
