Spoonful Of Comfort

In October 2007, I received the phone call from my mother that she had been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
I was shocked, scared and panicked. The hardest part about hearing the news, was that she lived in New Brunswick Canada and I lived in Florida. More difficult still, I had just returned the day before from a trip visiting her. With two young children in school, I couldn't just turn around and go back.
I was so upset and felt helpless being so far away. I needed to "Do Something". I looked into sending flowers or fruit, but nothing seemed appropriate. I wanted to show her how much I cared, and in some way comfort her.  .  .  .  . to read more about there story please click here

Spoonful of Comfort was happy enough to let me review some of there goodies to review, what I was given from there company were:

I just have to say that the chicken noodle soup all together was alright. I like the chunky meat and the sizes of the added carrots & celery but I would have liked the carrots to have been more of a soft texture and the soup to be more home seasoned, but it would do for a chicken noodle soup without expectations, but that's just my opinion, some rather have it based with broth flavor. I also saw onions in with the soup which I am not a big fan of onions at all, but I couldn't really taste them so that was okay. I would definitely choose this chicken noodle soup over campbell's soup any day!!

The oatmeal cookies were so good I've never had such good tasting oatmeal cookies in a long time til I tried these from Spoonful of Comfort they are by far the best oatmeal cookies I have tried, and normally I am not a big fan of oatmeal cookies, but now I am considering I love these cookies they have just the right amount of raisins in there cookies & the taste bud is so yummy.

I am really happy to have tried these products I might have to order some more chicken noodle soup when I run out and try out there Chocolate Chip Cookies for sure because I am a big fan of chocolate chip cookies & so is my son.

  1. What a lovely review. I'm not into give-aways, but thought I'd mentioned if you like oatmeal cookies now,then you may want to make your own so you have full control of the amount of raisins or don't add them to your recipe. My family loves my oatmeal cookies, and frankly I believe I like them over all better than chocolate chip cookies. That's saying a lot considering I'm a huge chocoholic fan! Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday, and I wanted you to know I'm now your newest GFC buddy! Happy blogging!

  2. I love this idea! So convenience and special all at the same time! Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm following you back. :}

  3. Thanks for the congrats on baby #3. Did you see I'm having a boy?!
