I was never a bed wetter although my cousins were til about 7. I don't know why either. My son is 6 and he maybe had 2 to 3 accidents wetting the bed when he was about 2-3yrs of age but that's reasonable because he was just starting out potty training and he did a good job, it's great that they make products specifically for this issue. It tells me that I'm not alone and her problem is not completely out of the norm.
The mattress pads come in a few different styles. I chose the mattress pad with wings. The fabric wings secure the mattress pad in place so it isn't sliding all over the bed. They are long enough to tuck under the mattress. It did stay in place pretty well for my daughter. She's all of 45 pounds though so I am not sure how it would be for an adult. The pad is a good size for those who move around a lot during the night. It is 36 inches by 32 inches and has three layers of protection.
